Since November 2013, this beautiful family has been part of the Athi River Base community.
It has been a long road with triumphs and challenges that we believe all positively contributed to the great fellowship had, and life lived with Geoffrey, Jacky, Peace & Praise.
On Thursday 29th November 2018, YWAM Athi River Base bid farewell to the Lomurias after 5 good years together in service of Christ.
Geoffrey & Jacky will be pastoring a church in Kitengela – a town a few kilometers from the Base.

Continue trusting and leaning on Him.”

This is the Kingdom, so let’s remain in communication and a working relationship.”

Catherine KingIt was the 90s and I was 7 and 9 years ago. Just a missionary kid who was living a free life. I helped with chores. I made chapatis on the jiko. I sorted beans, peeled potatos. Used machetes to chop the grass to help keep away snakes. We played football or soccer when the ball wasn't deflated by acacia thorns. The rest of the time we dug holes and played mancala in the dirt with stones. Or went wandering looking for impala, giraffe or elephants in the shadow of LuKenya. My parents taught DTS, leadership training courses, PCYM, led King's Kids and other activities. It was a great experience for our family as well as the many short term missions we hosted.

They have a game pack on their land where you can see giraffes, antelopes, zebras and many coolest jungle livers. Being part of the YWAM global family they are involved in doing Mercy ministries, training programs and evangelism. You will enjoy your time whenever you visit them. Wonderful hospitality, warm friends from all over the world and environment will capture your attention. With these few words I therefore recommend YWAM AthiRiver as a place to be. Karibu!
David OryangAway from the clamour of urban life, this YWAM Base is an ideal getaway for one to be able to detach and zoom-in on the more important things of life - especially concerning Christ & God. Did I mention the abundance of giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, etc just close by in the bush-bush?
